Our Story
About MVVI
Improving our students' economic reality through the power of education since 2009.
Our Mission
Improving Lives Through the Trades
Mountain View Vocational Institute was founded on one belief: that vocational training is one of the fastest and most reliable paths to economic independence. We exist to make that path accessible to everyone in the Borderland region.
Our programs are short, hands-on, and employer-aligned. We don't teach theory for its own sake — we train students to be productive on day one of their new careers.

What We Stand For
Our Values
Economic Mobility
We measure success by our students' earning power, not test scores. A MVVI graduate earns 60–90% more than before training.
Respect for the Trades
The trades are skilled, essential, and well-compensated. We treat every program with the seriousness it deserves.
Access for All
Working adults, veterans, career-changers, and second-chance candidates all deserve a clear path to a great job.
Community Roots
We hire locally, train locally, and partner with local employers. MVVI's success is the Borderland's success.
